Choosing to adopt his mother’s maiden name, Potter spent his formative years in Tokyo, Japan, until relocating to the United States at seven.

After some thought, he audited and landed the lead role of Mike Fukanaga, a typical American teen who discovers his ninja heritage. The show was renewed for a second season in March 2012.

Following the premiere of Supah Ninjas in January 2011, Potter became a popular young star on Nickelodeon, appearing in teen magazines and at Nickelodeon events.
