Career

Emeka Ike is a successful businessman, actor, director, and film producer. He began performing as a child, like many brilliant actors in Nigeria.

His interest in acting began in secondary school when he participated in performing arts and theatrical productions. His first acting part occurred while he was a student at UNILAG.

In 1995, he made his cinematic debut in “Deadly Affairs,” a film produced by Charles Owoyemi. Emeka also ventured into politics after leaving the film industry. He ran for a position in the Imo State House of Assembly under the banner of the Young Progressive Party, representing the Ideato-South Local Government Area of Imo State. Unfortunately, his political ambitions were dashed when he was defeated.

After years of feuding with movie producers over the leadership of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, the actor took a vacation from performing (AGN). Having been away from the set, he decided to make a comeback. Apart from being a famous member of the Nigerian Actors Guild, he is also a notable philanthropist who has done great humanitarian work in several areas.

Following his painful first marriage to Suzanne, a half-Dutch, half-Nigerian lady, he married twice more. His wife was a teacher, and they married in 2000. The union produced four children.

On the other hand, his wife filed for divorce in 2015 at the Lagos Island Customary Court. In 2017, the appeal was granted. The actor was granted custody of their children, and the $300 bride fee was restored to him.

Emeka attempted marriage once more with a lady he met at an award ceremony. Yolanda Pfeiffer, Emeka Ike’s current wife, is of South African origin. Soon after their wedding, the couple welcomed a daughter.
